Clara Lea Cox Terry


    YANCEYVILLE — Clara Lea Cox Terry, 82, died March 3, 2010 at Moses Cone Hospital.
    Mrs. Terry loved her family, church family, and all. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking, and was an active member of the Graham Church of God for 40-plus years.
    She was the loving mother of five surviving children and their spouses; sons, Dale Terry and wife Vickie of Yanceyville, Earl Terry Jr. and wife Gayle of Burlington, and Keith Terry of Graham; daughters, Crystal Carroll and husband Brian of New York and Amy Bayles and husband Charles of Kansas; sister, Melinda Jefferson; brothers, Henry Cox, Chester Cox, and William Cox; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her mother, Augusta Jones Cox; father, Oscar Cox; and husband, Earl Eugene Terry Sr.
    The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Service in Graham on Friday, March 5, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m.
    The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010, in the Mc-Clure Funeral Service Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Jimmy Holland. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
