Mr. Larry Kenneth Warren, age 81, of Burlington, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at his residence after several months of failing health.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Frank Wesley Warren and the late Julia Thelma Starling Warren and was married for over 34 years to Mrs. Etta Jane Lemon Warren, who survives.
Larry retired from Burlington Industries after 35 years of serving in the Transportation Division as a truck driver and was a collector of transfer truck memorabilia, especially from BI. He was a charter member of People’s Memorial Christian Church and was currently attending Cross Generations Church.
Mr. Warren is survived by his wife of the home; his son Kenneth Franklin Warren and his wife, Rachel; step children, Catherine Jane Richmond and husband, Mark, and Richard “Bill” Garland Lloyd; two grandchildren, Taylor (Dylan) Warren and Mason Richmond; a great grandchild, Hayden Arnold; and a sister, Gail Orsvath.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mildred Kitsinger
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. David Grinnell.
Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:45 PM Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff of Hospice and especially to our “angel”, Sue Chapman, for all of their kindness and dedication.
