William  G. "Bill" Miles 
    BURLINGTON — William  G. "Bill" Miles , age 71, of 1111 Alden St., passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at the Hospice Home.
    A native of Caswell County, he was husband of the late Betty Newnam Miles , and son of the late Ruth Ethel King and James Wilson Miles .
    Mr. Miles  was the retired owner of Miles  Pest Control and later worked for S.S.I as a security guard at Culp Finishing. He was a member of Shallowford Squares and a charter member of Cactus Squares.
    Survivors include a daughter, Debra M. Ackard and husband, Dean, of Port Matilda, Pa.; sons, James E. "Gene" Miles  and wife, Donna, of Elon and Randy L. Miles  and wife, Tammy, of Elon; grandchildren, Amanda Miles , Dana Ackard and Landon Miles ; and a special brother-in-law, Coy Horton. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sister, Erline Horton.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2005 from the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Danny Miles . Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Mr. Miles  will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the home of Randy and Tammy Miles , 3348 Stoney Creek Church Road, Elon.
