MEBANE - Brenda Faucette Flindt, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at her home in Mebane.
Brenda was born March 23, 1952, in Alamance County to Helen Gray Kidd Faucette and James David Faucette. She was an only child. She grew up in Haw River, where she met Eddie Freeman, whom she married in July of 1970. They were together for 29 years until his death in June of 1999. Brenda subsequently reconnected with the love of her life, Terry L. Flindt, whom she married on February 29, 2008. Brenda is survived by her parents, Helen and James; her husband, Terry; her daughter Rean'e and her son-in-law, Scott.
Brenda lived in Alamance County all her life. She worked for AT&T for 15 years. She went back to school and received an associate's degree in medical transcription, then worked for Duke Hospital in the Clinical Engineering and Pharmacy Departments. She had many interests and hobbies and pursued these with the same cheerful positive attitude that made her beloved at work. She had a smiling face and a caring spirit, genuinely wanting to help anyone she met with anything they needed, until the Lord called her home.
Visitation will be held at McClure Funeral Home, 1030 S. Main St., Graham, N.C., on Friday, July 11 from 6 to 8 p.m., and at other times the family will be at her parent's home, 1318 Stone Street Extension, Haw River, N.C.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12 at McClure Funeral Home. Interment will be in Graham Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
