David Anderson Ragan, Sr.
Mr. David Anderson Ragan, Sr., 74, of Burlington passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022.
David was born January 17, 1948 to Haywood Anderson Ragan and Mildred Jones Ragan.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, where he earned a National Defense Service Medal.
He retired from GKN Automotive and was a member of City Lake Baptist Church.
In his free time, David was an avid reader and loved to camp, especially at Jordan Lake, and also enjoyed hunting. One of his favorite things to do was to eat at Grill Worx in Graham, where he made many friends over the years. Above all, he loved his family dearly.
David was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 35 years, Eunice Harmon Ragan.
David is survived by his son, David Anderson “Andy” Ragan, Jr. and wife Valarie; grandchildren, Olivia Ragan and Isabel Ragan; brother, Joseph Wayne “Yogi” Ragan and wife Martha; sisters, Marie R. Baker and husband William, Vicki R. Westbrook and husband David, Nanette Pedelty and husband Larry, and Darlene Raines and husband Jerry.
A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11 AM at McCray Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. 256, David Anderson Ragan, Sr.
