Irene  Aldridge Terrell 

    BURLINGTON — Irene  Aldridge Terrell , formerly of 519 Riverside Drive, Burlington, died at 6:55 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at the Hospice Home.

    She was the wife of Ben Harding Terrell  for 62 years, and the daughter of the late George Richard "Mr. Rich" and Lizzie Stainback Aldridge.

    A native of Caswell County, she was a member of First Christian United Church of Christ, and lifetime member of the Women’s Fellowship.

    She is survived by her husband, Ben Harding Terrell  of Burlington Manor; daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" Allen and husband, Joe, of Carolina Beach; sons, Richard Edward "Rick" Terrell , Benjamin James "Benjie" Terrell  and wife, Tammy, all of Burlington; grandchildren, Scott Cobb and wife, Susan, Brooks Terrell , Matthew Terrell ; great-grandchildren, Madeline Cobb and Zachary Cobb; brother, Hulen W. Aldridge of Reidsville.

    She was preceded in death by her infant son, Ben Harding Terrell  Jr.; infant twin daughters, Bennie Lou and Sandra Faye Terrell ; parents; sisters, Sallie A. King, Pearl A. Boswell, Swannie A. Chandler; brothers, Carlton Aldridge and Stamie Aldridge.

    The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Christian United Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.

    The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 this evening at Lowe Funeral Home, and at other times, at the home of a son, Rick Terrell , 419 Cobblestone Court, Burlington.
    Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
