Betty Peeler Bryan, (82), died on Monday, April 21, 2014 following several years of failing health.
She was the twelfth child of the late Dr. and Mrs. John Calvin Peeler of Burlington and was married 57 years to Albert L. Bryan, who preceded her in death in March of 2010.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanne Bryan of Greensboro, a son Larry Bryan and his wife Kim of Aiken, S.C., four beloved grandchildren: Stephanie Shore of Greensboro, Bryan Shore and his wife Anne of Jacksonville, Florida, Ellen Bryan of Columbia, S.C., and Sarah Bryan of Charleston, S.C., and her brother James Peeler of Burlington.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Peace United Church of Christ, where she was a member, with Pastor Tom Warren officiating. The burial will follow at Westminster Gardens.
Mrs. Bryan was born in Lenior, N.C., attended Elon College and retired from the Commercial Credit Department of Sears after 20+ years of service. 470, Betty Peeler Bryan
