Mr. Robert Carroll Peeler Sr.
BURLINGTON — Mr. Robert Carroll Peeler Sr., 81, of Alamance Road, passed away at 3:40 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at his residence.
A native of Rowan County, he was the husband of Jean Peeler, who survives of the home, and son of the late Rev. John C. Peeler Sr. and Sallie Holshouser Peeler. He was a retired residential contractor and a member of St. Mark’s Church.
Surviving, other than his wife, are two daughters, Terry Underwood and husband, Floyd, and Susan Pendergrass and husband, Tommy; four sons, Robert Carroll Peeler Jr. and wife, Beryl, David Peeler and wife, Jackie, Jeff Peeler and wife, Lee, and Todd Peeler and wife, Amanda; eight grandchildren ; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Bryan and Sara Bracewell; and a brother, Jim Peeler.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
