Charles William Teague
ELON – Mr. Charles William Teague, age 91, of Elon, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Veterans Hospital in Durham after a brief illness.
Born in Chatham County, he was the son of the late Willie Dewey Teague and the late Grace Culberson Teague Vaughn and was married for over 67 years to Mrs. Christine Shoe Teague, who survives.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during WWII in the Pacific Theatre where he received numerous medals and served on the U.S.S. Lexington aircraft carrier.
Charles retired from Flav-O-Rich Dairy and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Elon.
Mr. Teague is survived by his wife and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald “Dewey” Teague.
A graveside service with military honors was conducted on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Keith Sexton.
