Mrs. Hazel Tickle Johnson, 89, of Burlington, N.C. died 9:04 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 at Cone Health Alamance Regional Hospital.
She was born in Alamance County to the late J.R. and Mary Tickle and was the wife of the late Howard Page Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Carolina Christian Church and retired from the textile industry.
Surviving her are daughter Susan Johnson Bowman and husband Joey, son Joseph Michael “Mike” Johnson and wife Janice, grandchildren Jason Johnson and wife Lindy, Jonathan Mansfield, Jack Bowman, step grandchildren Frank Gordon and Justin Apple, great grandchild Rachel Johnson.
The family will receive friends at the Carolina Christian Church on Monday February 2, 2015 from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m with a funeral service being conducted at the church at 2:00 p.m. by the Reverend Mark Mitchell, pastor. Burial will follow in the Carolina Cemetery.
