BURLINGTON — Mrs. Sarah Holt Therrell Jeffcoat , 84, of 1820 Brookwood Ave., and formerly of Circle Drive, Burlington, died Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at 8:10 p.m., at Edgewood Place of Burlington.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Lloyd Epting Jeffcoat , and daughter of the late Robert Hamilton Therrell and Carrie Meade Fix Therrell. Mrs. Jeffcoat was retired from Apple, Bell, Johnson & Co. P.A., a member of the First Christian United Church of Christ, past president and former member of the Board of Directors of Morris Plan Bank and a lifetime member and former treasurer of the Burlington Women’s Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Ms. Barbara Jeffcoat York, of Burlington; and two grandchildren, Brittany Elaine York and Michael Alexander York.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 1, at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington with the Rev. Ben Bishop, St. Mark’s Church, and the Rev. Elizabeth E. Inman, Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, and other times at the residence of the daughter, Barbara Jeffcoat York, 3032 Weston Court, Burlington.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C 27215 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
