ALTAMAHAW — Mr. Bobby Gerald Moore, 64, of 3028 Cherokee Drive, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at the Hospice Home.
Mr. Moore was born April 1, 1943, in Alamance County, to the late Mallie Ronnie and Betty Sue Alcon Moore. He retired from Glen Raven Mills and was a member of Altamahaw Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Laurie Blackwell, Tammy Moore Espita and Amy Moore Shaw, all of Burlington; a son, Barry Coble and his wife, Toni, of Altamahaw; three brothers, William Moore, Ronnie Moore and Robert Moore; a sister, Jane Bordoe of Raleigh; seven grandchildren, Celshea Jones, Amanda Chrisco, Kenny Blackwell Jr., Jason Lunsford, Ryan Lunsford, Landon Lunsford and Kim Coble; four great-grandchildren; and three stepchildren, Jay Boggs, Tim Boggs and Tressa Willis.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Moore, two sisters, Frances Whitsell and Jean Hawkins; three brothers, Harold Moore, Layton Moore, Jimmy Moore; and a son-inlaw, Kenneth Blackwell Sr.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008, at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Delmar Scotton. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, and at other times at the daughter’s home, 1017 N. Park Ave., Burlington.
