January 27, 1925 ~ December 25, 2021 (age 96)
Burlington – Annie Davis Haizlip, 96, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Alamance Health Care. She was born in Orange County to the late Benjamin and Mary Ham Davis but was raised by the late Ed and Annie Sutton. She was the wife of the late Tommie Leslie Haizlip; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Annie was a mother first and foremost. She was a hairdresser and was employed with Glen Raven Mills. Annie was a longtime member of Altamahaw Baptist Church, the Ladies Bible Class and a family caregiver. She was a devoted Christian mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
Survivors include her sons: Leon Haizlip and wife, Pat of Elon, Bobby Haizlip and wife, Reba of SC, Curtis Haizlip and wife, Kaddy of Burlington and Rev. Chris Haizlip and wife, Wendy of Statesville; grandchildren, Tim (Denise) Haizlip, Kevin (Candace) Haizlip, Kim (Dick) Daniel, Tammy (Don) Gerringer, Scotty (Darla) Haizlip, Mark (Sonia) Haizlip, Angie Haizlip, Sherry (Todd) Hooper, Susie (Keith) Montgomery, Danielle (Matt) Allen, Cindy (Larry) Lassiter and Dale (Myra) Haizlip; 22 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, adopted parents, husband; sons, Doug and Roger Haizlip; brothers Leland Davis and sisters, Margaret Gerringer and Ruth Chambers.
A Funeral Service is scheduled for 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 28, 2021at Altamahaw Baptist Church by Dr. Steve Tucker and Rev. Chris Haizlip with the burial to follow at Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery. The visitation will be from 12:30-1:45pm prior to the service at the church.
