John "Spruce" Wesley Troutman, Jr., 84, of 1616 Hanover Road, went to be with the Lord at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Hospice Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 31, at the McClure Funeral Chapel in Graham, N.C., officiated by Rev. James Rosser. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery, Graham, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Troutman, Sr., and Ida Summers Troutman; brothers, Hal "Buddy" Troutman and Aubrey Troutman; and sister, R.H. "Louise" Barringer.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen Sparks Troutman of the home; son, James Wesley Troutman of the home; daughters, Rebecca Louise Joel Jeffries of Burlington and Jane Elizabeth Johnnie Sullivan of Burlington; grandchildren, Jenny Stout , Joshua Stout and Shawn Stout, all of Lebanon, Tenn., and Julian Daniels, Jonathan Troutman and Lee Ann Sullivan, all of Burlington; great-grandchildren, Skylar Davis, Shane Stout, Shelby Montana Daniels, Blake Stout and Gavin Stout, all of Lebanon, Tennessee; sister, Marie Grissom of Burlington; brothers, Fred Troutman of Gibsonville, and Jack D.
