Sally Roten

SNOW CAMP - Sally Evelyn Roten, 81, entered into eternal rest at her home on Friday, June 11th 2021.

She was born in Jefferson, NC onApril 15, 1940 to Ordon and Sally Bare. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Perry Bare; sister, JaneMarshall; brother in laws, Lee Marshall and JimmyWalters.

Mrs. Roten is survived by her husband of almost 62 years, Russell Taft Roten of the home; children- Mike (Bobbie Jean) Roten, Mark Roten, Jody (Jeff) Nash, Greg (Patti) Roten, Jeff (Kelly) Roten. Grandchildren: Michael (Tyffany) Roten, Steven (Lindsey) Roten, Brandon (Kate) Roten, Ciara (Caleb) Allen, Jennifer (Tim) Bailey, Tiffany (Drew) Casselman, Ashley (Andy) Bennett, Amber (Casey) Lee, Stephanie Roten, Cody (Kenzie) Roten, Catherine Roten, and Chloe Roten. Great grandchildren: Briar, Annabella, Chase, Easton, Whitney, Matthew R., Hanna, Maverick, Kingston, Mia, Matthew B., Connor, Madison, Blayne, CJ, Gage, Ethan, Zane, Skylar, Natyleigh, Bentley, Steven, Rose’alynn, and 3 more arriving in 2021. Siblings: Randall (Sandra) Bare, Benny Bare, Sherdon(Jenny) Bare, and Loretta Walters and several nieces and nephews.

Sally was a homemaker for many years, making sure everyone kept quiet while her husband slept during the day. She enjoyed word search and crossword puzzles. She had an ear formusic and taught herself to play the keyboard. She loved watching wrestling, listening to her scanner, and watching preaching on television. She enjoyed going on fishing tripswith her husband and family. She adored her husband of almost 62 years and loved her family fiercely but most importantly, she loved Jesus. She attended Faith Baptist Church in Efland, NC.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 16th, 2021 at 2pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Keith Spake. Burial will follow inBigRidgeCemetery. Thefamilywillreceive friends from 1-2pm prior to the services at Badger Funeral Home inWest Jefferson.
