Obituary Online notes for Vera HERNDON
Vera Herndon Helms, 89, of Valdese, NC died Monday, July 21, 2014. Born in Caswell County, NC on August 8, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Levi Edmon Herndon and Sally Bett Dameron Herndon.
Vera was a member of United Baptist Church and a retired employee of Crestline Furniture. She enjoyed traveling and was a dedicated homemaker.
In addition to her parents, Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Jirl Helms, and nine brothers and sisters.
The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 24, 2014 at United Baptist Church with Mr. Steve Ramsey and the Rev. Don Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
