Marie Howerton Price, 84, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2002, at Moses Cone Hospital following many years of declining health.
A Memorial Service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at the Congregational United Church of Christ, 400 W. Radiance Drive, with Rev. Julie Peeples and Dr. William Smith officiating.
She is survived by son, Charles Price and wife Ruth of Greensboro; daughter, Janice Caskie and husband Jim of Greensboro, daughter, Lane Price-Rose and husband Norman of Cary; grandson, Craig Caskie of Greensboro; granddaughter, Karen Caskie of Americus, Ga.; and sister, Virginia Howerton Fort of Greensboro.
Husband, Willard "Chesty" Price, son, Ronald William Price; parents, Dora Wright Howerton and Luther Samuel Howerton and brothers, William, Charles, and Ludwick Howerton preceded her in death.
The family will greet friends at the church following the Memorial Service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made in her honor to Hospice at Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, N.C. 27405 or charity of the donors choice.
Forbis &Dick Guilford Chapel is serving the family.
