GRAHAM — James Dobin “J.D.” Williams died April 28, 2011, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Wagoner Williams of the home; a daughter, Judy Williams Petty and husband Don of Richmond, Va.; two sons, James “Butch” Williams Jr. of Huntersville, N.C. and Jerome “Spike” Williams of Graham; grandchildren, Lee Petty Jr., James D. Williams III and wife Christi, Taylor A. Williams, Maggie Crouch and husband Rob, Blaine Williams Jr., Isabelle Williams and Elizabeth Williams; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Sophia Crouch, James D. Williams IV and Cullen Thomas Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Williams and Mamie Roney Williams; and a granddaughter, April Lynn Petty.
Private services will be held at a later date.
