GRAHAM - Mr. Louie Mitchell Williams, 98, of Graham, NC, passed away on September 5, 2019 at the Hospice Home in Burlington. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday September 14, 2019 at Phillip’s Chapel UMC Cemetery with the Pastor Mark Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Church FellowshipHall.

JULY 2, 1921 ~ SEPTEMBER 5, 2019 (AGE 98)
Mr. Louie Mitchell Williams, 98, of Graham, NC, passed away on September 5, 2019 at the Hospice Home in Burlington. A native of Chatham County, NC, he was the son of the late Alfred and Mamie Roney Williams and the husband to the late love of his life of 66 years, Nancy "Ardell" Atkinson Williams. Louie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. He was an avid Braves Baseball fan as well as a Duke Basketball fan. He had worked in the Textile industry across the area for numerous years. He and his late wife Ardell loved to garden whether it be flowers or his tomato pants. Survivors include his daughter, Nancy W. Hill, of Wilmington and his son, Tony Williams, of Graham and his loving 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his late wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Elizabeth Marley, Mary Poe and Opal Gaydon; brother, J.D. Williams, and a son in law, Denis R, Hill Jr. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday September 14, 2019 at Phillip’s Chapel UMC Cemetery with the Pastor Mark Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Phillip’s Chapel UMC at 2362 Brucewood Rd, Haw River, NC 27258 or to the Hospice of Alamance/Caswell at 918 Chapel Hill RD. Burlington, NC 27215.
