Leonard N. Hodges was the son of Edmond D. and Ugenia Eldora Summers Hodges. He was a member of Company H 3rd Bn. 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division and a D-Day participant.
Leonard was in the US Army from April 6, 1943 until May 21, 1945. He was a Technical Seargant (E-7). Army Serial Number 31972763
Awarded 4 Bronze Stars for the Normandy Campaign in 1944.
Awarded a Purple Heart. Wounded in action a Normandy, France on June 7, 1944, and in Italy on September 15, 1943.
