Obituary Online notes for Samuel David HUNT
Samuel David Hunt, former Pemiscot county farmer died at the McCune Brooks Hospital in Carthage, Missouri, on May 14, at the age of 74 years.
Mr. Hunt was born May 15, 1877, in Ozark county, Missouri and attended the schools there. The family moved to Pemiscot county a number of years ago and Mr. Hunt farmed here until retiring and moving to Carthage five years ago.
His wife, Mrs. Mary Hunt died on January 21, 1923.
He is survived by four sons, Wilbur and Ernest Hunt of Indianapolis, Ind. and Clarence and Logan Hunt of this city; three daughters, Mrs. Georgia McCormick of Visalia, Calif., Mrs. Jewel McDonald of Carthage and Mrs. Bertha Thomas of Marston, Mo.; two brothers, Joe and Charlie Hunt of Miller, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Janie Pugh and Mrs. Flora Clark of Carthage; 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon at the Baptist Church here and were conducted by the Rev. W.H. Cook of Steele. Burial was in Liberty Cemetery at Caruth, with H.S. Smith Funeral home service.
