Obituary Online notes for Calvin Franklin VOSS
Calvin Franklin Voss moved into his heavenly home on Sunday, July 15, 2018, after a lengthy illness. Born September 13, 1943 to Hobart Reid Voss and Deamie Garner Voss in Stokes County, NC. 

He graduated from King High School where he was an avid basketball player and Northwest All Stars in 1963. He enjoyed attending class reunions each year and reminiscing with fellow classmates. Calvin retired from R.J. Reynolds with 30 years of service. 

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald Voss; sister, Carolyn Styers; brother-in-law, John Pratt; and sister-in-law, Ruth Voss.

Calvin and Dorothy were married in 1969 and spent 50 years together. They were blessed with two special daughters and sons-in-law, Vanessa (Leslie) Burton and Deanna (Timmy) Cockerham; four amazing grandchildren: Zach Burton, Calvin Zane Burton, Hunter Cockerham, and Sydney Cockerham. He is also survived by a sister, Dorothy Pratt of Pinnacle; three brothers: Harold (Joan) Voss of King, Ralph (Lib) Voss of Lexington, Joe (Lib) Voss of Dobson; brother-in-law, Don Styers of Winston-Salem; aunt, Ona Ruth Garner of King; several nieces, nephews, and many other special family and friends. 

A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, July 18, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Dr. Ron Voss officiating. Burial will follow at Rural Hall Memorial Park.
