TOBACCOVILLE, NC ~ Maldon Ray Moore, 66, of Jefferson Church Road died unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000, in Willard, Ohio. 

He was born March 27, 1934, in Forsyth County to Ray Herman and Bertha Maldine Garner Moore. 

Mal retired from Spector Freight Lines and had since been employed by the Forsyth County school system Maintenance Division. 

He enjoyed his antique tractors, animals, family and his many friends. 

Surviving are his wife, Sylvia Ann Bishop Moore of the home; daughter, Carole (Tim) Istock of Winston-Salem; three sons: Dean (Tammy) Moore of Rural Hall, Gerald (LeAnn) Moore of Tobaccoville and Scott (Jan) Moore of Lexington; stepdaughter Donna (A.J.) Powell of Eden; stepson, Robert (Karen) Culler of Kernersville; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; sister, Pat (Aubrey) Snyder of Rural Hall; brother, Lionell (Ruth) Moore of Tobaccoville; and his special friends, Sugar and Thresher. 

He was a member of New Testament Baptist Church in King, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Fred Barton will officiate. 

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at Slate Funeral Home in King.
