Janice Hensley Kornegay, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, 0ctober 18, 2025 surrounded by her family at her home.
She was born November 2, 1943, in Alamance County and was the daughter of the late Wade and Mary Lou Gerringer Hensley. She was the wife of 43 years to Randall Kornegay, Jr. who survives.
Janice retired from the Banking Industry after many years. She attended Burlington Assembly of God. And was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Randall Kornegay, Jr. of the home; her daughters, Wendy Newsome of Burlington and Christy Newsome of Haw River; her grandson, Lucas Newsome of Charlotte and her sister, Bonnie Page of Elon.
A graveside service to celebrate Janice’s life will be held at 2PM Wednesday October 22, 2025, at Pine Hill Cemetery. The service will be officiated by Rev. Bryan Rainbow and Rev. Howard Thompson.
Janice will be available for public viewing on Tuesday from 12PM until 5PM and Wednesday from 8AM until 11:30AM at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
