Ruth Owen Gerringer, 96, of Danville, passed away Feb. 05, 2017 at Danville Medical Center. Ruth was born in Danville, on October 4, 1920, daughter of Thelbert Flournoy Owen and Hattie Chatten Owen. She was married to the late E.C. Gerringer.
She worked alongside her husband at Merchants Delivery Moving & Storage Inc. She was a member of Moffett Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Stephen Phillip Gerringer; a daughter, Diane G. Collie (Jimmy); a brother, Norman Philip Owen; two grandsons. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Earlene G. Riddle: a grandson, Hugh Brantley Riddle, III: sisters, Hazel O. Shumate, Estelle O. Duncan, Margaret O. Bass, Thelma O. Dodson: brothers, Ralph F. Owen and Landon B. Owen.
Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. 470, Ruth Owen Gerringer
