Edison Vane "Ed" Reynolds was born on February 19, 1902 in Guilford County, NC. He was the son of John Cornelius Reynolds and Emily Emma Garrett Reynolds.

Ed married Bertha Edna Stubblefield on November 17, 1923. They had three sons: Howard Bryson, Richard Leon and John Dale.

Ed operated the Staley Mill Company in Staley, NC for three years and later operated the Old Company Milling Company for several years. He was a farmer until retirement due to ill health.

Ed was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. He died on December 31, 1961 and is buried at Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Greensboro, NC.  470, Edison Vane "Ed" Reynolds
