Obituary Online notes for Dixie PHILLIPPIE
HOWERTON, Dixie P. a native of Gibsonville, NC and a recent resident of Palm Harbor, passed away Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 after an extended battle with Alzheimer's disease. Mrs. Howerton was assistant to the treasurer of Burlington Industries over a career of 43 years. She was married to Levi M. (LM) How-erton, also of Gibsonville, NC, for 44 years. She was a lifelong and faithful member of Friedens Lutheran Church in Gibsonville. She is survived by her two sons, Thomas D. Howerton of Virginia Beach, VA, and Timothy L. Howerton of Palm Harbor; four grandchildren; and six great-grand-children. Mrs. Howerton is also survived by her sister Dewey P. Baldwin of Elon College, NC; and her brother Frank Phillippe of Gibsonville.
