BURLINGTON—TonyLewis Sutton, 39, of 2207 Burch Bridge Road, Lot 54, Burlington, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at his home, after two years of declining health.
A native of Alamance County, Tony was the husband of Vickie Fortner Sutton, who survives, and the son of the late Mary Frances Mansfield Rickman.
Before his illness, Tony was a concrete finisher for O and S Concrete. He was a member of the Open Faith Holiness Church.
Tony was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish whenever possible.
In addition to his wife, Vickie, of the home, Tony is survived by two daughters, LaTishia Trumpower, and her husband Michael Hicks of Burlington, Lacey Trumpower and her fiancé Ben Abercrombie of Burlington; two sons, John Trumpower II and his fiancée Roxy Haynes of the home, Tony Lewis Sutton II of the home; seven grandchildren, Michael Hicks II, Madison Trumpower, Harmony Trumpower, Jalyn Trumpower, Cherrish Abercrombie, Caleb Abercrombie, and future baby Hicks; his motherin-law, Patricia Murray of the home; and a sister-in-law, Katina Fortner.
Tony was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Destiny Abercrombie; his sister, Darlene Sutton; and his fatherin-law, Johnny Murray.
The family will receive friends at Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington, Friday, September 10, 2010, from 12:30 pm until 1:45 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. in the Rich and Thompson Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Mike Hurt. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
When not at the funeral home, the family will be at the residence.
