Obituary Online notes for Henry Richard IRELAND
Henry Richard Ireland, age 86, of West Deptford, NJ, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2008.

Dick will be fondly remembered for his focused, hard working, encouraging and supportive nature that he shared with his family and friends throughout his life.

Born in Elion College, NC. Dick proudly served in the U. S. Army during World War II where he was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal with a Bronze Star; Philippine Liberation Service Medal with a Bronze Serve Star; Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.

After his service time, he graduated from North Carolina State University with a Masters of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering. In 1947, he married Margaret Woolwine, who he would share the next 61 years with and in 1951, Henry began a 30 year career with Mobil Oil where he successfully developed 22 patents.

Away from his carer, dick enjoyed traveling with his family, camping and enjoying the great outdoors. Henry's devotion to family will be fondly missed by those who loved him.

Beloved husband of Margaret Helen(nee Woolwine). Loving father of Theresa(Charles)Baxter, Richard(Jeanne)Ireland, Tina Ireland, Kathryn(Kerry)Jameson and Rodney(Patti)Ireland
Grandfather of 17.

Cremation and interment private.
