Claydeen Carlyle Glosson
GRAHAM — Claydeen Carlyle Glosson, 86, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at the Hospice Home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Wanda Collins Glosson and was born June 28, 1927, in Alamance County to the late Ensley and Rosa Johnson Glosson. Carlyle retired from Lemco Mills after many years of service. He was a member of People’s Memorial Christian Church where he had been very active in the church. He enjoyed spending time in his garden especially growing his prize tomatoes. Carlyle loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his daughters, Gaye (Paul) Long of Snow Camp, Donna Glosson of Graham; sons, Jeff (Lisa) Glosson of Greensboro, Jerry (Renee) Glosson of Pittsboro; grandchildren, Eric (Stephanie) Long, Brooki Williams, Gayla (Everett) Glosson-Hudnell, Becca Glosson; great-grandchildren Julia Long, Olivia Long, Grady Long; sisters, Gwendolyn Baysden of Burlington, Sarah Hinshaw of Siler City; a brother Bennie (Dorothy) Glosson of Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a granddaughter, Abbey Michelle Glosson, three sisters and fi ve brothers.
The funeral will be held 2 p.m. Friday at People’s Memorial Christian Church by the Rev. John Shields. Interment will follow in Graham Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends and host a reception from 11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the church.
