Eula Mae Baldwin
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Eula Mae Baldwin , 77, of 905 Plaid Street, died Friday, May 26, 2006 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, N.C. after one month of critical illness.
Mae was born August 15, 1928 in Burlington. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she also attended morning circle #2 and the Live Wire Sunday School class. Mae was also a member of the Senior Advantage Walkers and was retired from Belk-Beck.
She was a beloved and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, an excellent cook and cake maker, and a devoted wife of 60 years to Mack Baldwin , whom she lovingly nursed through his final years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack; her mother and father, Grace and J. B. Evans ; and two brothers, Buster and Jack Evans .
She is survived by five children: daughters, Sherry Scarlett and husband Bill of Fayetteville and Yvonne Ross and husband, Tim of Burlington; and sons, Wayne Baldwin of Asheboro, Bobby Baldwin and wife, Patrice of Burlington, and Mitchell Price of Carrboro. Survivors also include 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Betty Babcock of Raleigh.
The funeral will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, May 29, 2006 at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington where visitation will occur from 6 until 8 this evening, May 28, 2006. At other times, the family will receive visitors at the Plaid Street residence.
