Lincoln Lee Wyrick

JUNE 1, 1946 ~ MAY 24, 2019 (AGE 72)

Gibsonville – Lincoln Lee Wyrick, 72, went home to be with the Lord on May 24, 2019 at Moses H. Cone Hospital following several months of failing health. 

He was born in Guilford County on June 1, 1946 to the late Cicero Adolphus Wyrick and Kathleen Elizabeth Andrews Wyrick Brown and was the husband of 37 years to the late Clara Mae McDaniel Wyrick.

Lincoln was a lifetime member of Hope River Church (formerly Brown Wesleyan Church). 

He was an avid NASCAR fan and would often attend races at ACE Speedway.  He was an excellent auto mechanic and had a knack for fixing tractors. 

He enjoyed his weekly visits to Harbor Inn and loved spending time with his family. 

Lincoln had a compassionate heart that was exhibited through his love for visiting people.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his sons, Cameron Wyrick and Christian Wyrick; granddaughter, Maryssa Rae Whiteley (Jordan); great granddaughter, Olivia Rae Whitaker; brother, Clay Wyrick; sisters, Margie May (Carl), Betty Coble, Pansy Summers, Shirley Ross (Gary) and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and stepfather, Willie Brown.

A service to celebrate his life will be held 3:00pm on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Hope River Church by Rev. Larry Pope and Rev. Billy Roy with the burial to follow in the church cemetery. 

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday at the church and other times at the home.
