THOMASVILLE – Mrs. Mary Bouldin Ferguson Goad, 94, of Thomasville, died
Nov. 17, 2006, at Britthaven of Thomasville.

Mrs. Goad was born Aug. 23, 1912, in Randolph County, a daughter of Thomas Sylvester Bouldin Sr. and Eula Cox Bouldin. She graduated from Trinity High School.

She was employed for many years with various retail stores in High Point, and later worked as bookkeeper for Dr. C.O. Cranford in Thomasville, for 19 years. Active in her community, she was a member of the Eastern Star, where she was a Past Worthy Matron, a former member of the Thomasville Woman's Club and the B.P.W. She volunteered at the Thomasville Medical Center and for Meals on Wheels.
She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Goad was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Wyatt Goad; her parents; five brothers, Herman Bouldin, George Bouldin, Thomas S. Bouldin Jr., William Cox Bouldin and John Bouldin; and three sisters, Lota Bouldin Parrish,
Nina Bouldin Clodfelter and Carrie Lee Bouldin.

Surviving are two sons, Lowell Ferguson and wife Wanda of High Point, Sherrill Ferguson and wife Susan of Raleigh; one brother, Carl Vance Bouldin and wife Golda of Wilmington; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Trinity Cemetery in Trinity, conducted by the Rev. David M. Emery. The family will receive friends at Family Funeral Care, 18 Randolph St., Sunday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the graveside service. Memorial gifts may be direct-ed to Memorial United Methodist Church, 101 Randolph St., Thomasville, NC 27360.
