Naomi Gilliam Sadler
   BURLINGTON — Mrs. Naomi Gilliam Sadler, 95, went home to be with Jesus and to be reunited with her late husband, Harry Edgar Sadler Jr., on Tuesday morning, Dec. 25, 2012, following a brief illness. Naomi had been a resident of Twin Lakes Retirement Center for almost 30 years.

   A native of Alamance County, Naomi was the daughter of the late Mary Idol Gilliam and Elder John Wesley Gilliam Jr.

   She is survived by two daughters, Susan Sadler Beckom and husband Jimmie of Raleigh and Marjorie Sadler Turner and husband Van of Burlington. Naomi was also the proud grandmother of James E. (Tammy) Beckom of Charlotte, Jonathon S. (Brenda) Beckom of Raleigh,MeredithT.(Steven) Everhart of Wilmington, Gregory V. (Susan) Turner of Whitsett and Bryan S. Turner of Kannapolis, as well as eight great-grandchildren.

   In addition to her parents and her husband, Naomi was preceded in death by three siblings, Junius Gilliam, Fred Gilliam and John Gilliam. She is survived by six siblings, including Bess Davenport, Robert Gilliam, Sarah Gilliam, Charles (Ann) Gilliam and Bill (Polly) Gilliam, all of Burlington, and Theron (Sibby) Gilliam of Virginia.

   A graveside service will be held on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Stony Creek Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bland Leebrick, pastor of Berea Christian Church, officiating.

   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Burlington.
   Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington is in charge of arrangements.
