GREENSBORO — Mrs. Ralphene Roush Gilliam, 87, of 4402 Lawndale Drive, formerly of 2505 Saddle Club Road, died at 9:08 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at Clare Bridge Nursing Facility in Greensboro.
She was the widow of Frederick K. Gilliam Sr., and daughter of the late Ralph Roush and Florence Gates Roush.
She is survived by a son, Fred K. Gilliam Jr., and daughter-in-law, Janie C. Gilliam, of Burlington; three nieces and one nephew.
The family will receive friends at her residence, 2505 Saddle Club Road, from 6 to 8 Monday evening.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Frederick Keene Gilliam Scholarship Fund, Elon University, c/o Office of Gift Planning, Campus Box 2600, Elon, N.C. 27244.
