Curry Calvin Thompson 


    GRAHAM — Curry Calvin Thompson , 82, of 3624 Shady Grove Lane, died peacefully in his sleep at the Hospice Home on Tuesday, June 12, 2007.
    A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Sadie Fay Allen Thompson  and the son of the late Arthur Conklin and Maggie B. Coble Thompson . He was a retired livestock dealer, and a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church.
    Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Huffman and husband, Don, of Graham; a grandson, Todd Huffman and wife, Lisa, of Graham; great-grandchildren, Cody Huffman and Macy Huffman, both of Graham; a brother, Willard Thompson  of Graham; sisters, Marcy Christopher and Alease Smith, both of Burlington; and special in-laws, Dean Justice and wife, Evelyn, Pat Martin and wife, Polly and Peggy Isley, all of Graham.
    He was preceded in death by brothers, Coy Thompson , A.C. Thompson  and Charlie Thompson ; and sisters, Bessie Hobby, Mary Wood, Bertha Holt and Mattie Christopher.
    The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church by the Rev. John Varden, and the Rev. Joe Wilburn. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
    The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening, Thursday at McClure Funeral Home in Graham, and at other times at the residence of Carolyn Huffman, 3708 Shady Grove Lane, Graham.
    Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
