Jessie Lee Boone, 65, of Independence, died at his home Monday, April 27, 2009.
He was born December 6, 1943 to the late Nancy Boone and Elbert Ray.
Survivors include his wife, Sanjuanita Z "Janie" Boone of the home; two daughters,
Chelsea Boone of the home and Jessica Spencer and husband, Ben of Oregon.;
three brothers, Randy Delp and wife, Pilar of Tallahassee, Fla.,
David Delp and wife Alandee of Naples, Fla., and Michael Delp and wife, Susan of Clearwater, Fla.;
one sister, Debby Hale and husband, Walter of Bonita Springs, Fla.;
a special brother Manuel Gonzalez and wife, Rose of Fries; and one uncle and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Liberty Hill United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 11 at 11a.m.
A memorial service will also be held in Golden Gate, Fla., on May 4 at 11 a.m., at the St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family at 600 Glendale Rd., Galax, Va. 24333 or to The Vietnams Veterans in Galax.
