On Wednesday, August 16th, 2023, the angels came for our mother, Jeanette Ingle Scott, a resident of Compass Healthcare and formerly of Trail 2, Burlington, NC.
Jeanette was the daughter of Clarence and Elizabeth Ingle of Whitsett, NC, and she was married to Paul W. Scott who passed away in 1972. She retired from LabCorp. Jeanette loved to tell jokes and was known as the puzzle queen. She also loved going to the beach and fishing. Jeanette never met a stranger. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elon. She will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed by her family and friends.
Jeanette is survived by her daughters, Sheila Scott King (Don) and Beth Ingle Scott (Rob); grandsons, Franklin D. Davis (Danielle); great granddaughter, Ryleigh N. Garrison and great grandsons, Trenton Kennedy, Austin James Davis; great great grandson, Johnny L. Pruitt, IV “Kurt”; and sisters, Reva K. Hudson and Linda I. Gerringer, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul and former husband George Edwards; infant daughter, Janet Angela Scott; and grandsons, William Paul Garrison and Johnny L. Pruitt, III “Scotty”; and sisters, Shirley Younger and June Greeson.
The committal service will be conducted at Alamance Memorial Park on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. by Pastor Kellie Gallagher.
