WHITSETT — Mr. David Ingle, 74, passed away at 4:57 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at his residence.
A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of Martha Ingle, who survives, and son of the late Rufus Egbert Ingle and Lora Vaughn Ingle.
He was employed with Piedmont Optical, a member of Springwood Presbyterian Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of the home, are daughter, Angela Ingle Newsom and husband Chris of Whitsett; granddaughter, Hannah Michele Ingle; and grandson, Landan Scott Newsom.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Wayne Ingle.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington with the Rev. Bud Wrenn officiating . Burial will follow in the Springwood Presbyterian Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral & Cremation Service in Burlington from 6 until 8 Thursday evening. At other times they will be at the daughter’s residence, 7130 Gusenbury Road, Whitsett.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any division of Alzheimers, the Heart Association or the Diabetes Foundation.
