Anna Rose Marino, 78, of Burlington, NC passed away at AuthoraCare Hospice Home on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Filippo “Phil” Marino, Jr. and Polly Tapscott Marino, both deceased. She was a 1964 graduate of Western Alamance High School. Anna Rose attended UNC-G and transferred to Elon College where she obtained her business degree. After college, she worked as Lead Secretary in the Psychology Department at Alamance Memorial Hospital. She then became an Administrative Assistant for Ace Cycle Sales. Anna Rose was a member of Elon Community Church, but most recently attended Shiloh Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She also was an instrumentalist at various other churches. She always enjoyed sitting on the porch with her “Coffee Club” girls.
Anna Rose enjoyed spending time with her niece and nephew and their children. Survivors include a niece, Anna Law Paulette and husband Sean and their children, Alex, Patrick, Lindsey, and Breanna; a nephew, Scotty Law and wife Jenny and their children, Ethan, Daniel, and Morgan; two grandchildren, Sherry Cheek and Donnell Law; and a brother-in- law, Rayvon Bennett and his wife Martha.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Marino Bennett.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. by Rev. E. Reid Dickens with the family receiving friends from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
