Obituary Online notes for Gloria MARINO
4/2/2019
Gloria Marino BennettGloria Marino Bennett 69 passed away at Wesley Long Hospital after a lengthy illness on Sunday, March 31, 2019.
Gloria was born April 7, 1949 to the late Filippo “Phil” Marino, Jr. & Polly Tapscott Marino.
She attended Western Alamance High School and graduated from Graham High School 1967.
Glo met her soul mate Rayvon Bennett 23 years ago & according to her she lived the best loved years of her life. She was generous with all she had, loved coffee, staying up late, sleeping late & a clean kitchen. She opened up her home to anyone as there was always room for one more. In years past she enjoyed weekend shopping trips to Williamsburg & beach trips to Myrtle Beach or really any beach as long as she was with family & friends. Glo always made Christmas special for everyone & provided the best Christmas Eve gatherings. Many memories were made by being part of her celebrations.
Gloria’s health began to fail in 2006 and she had to retire from Lab Corp. She worked in many human service & healthcare positions throughout the years. During her retirement she spent many hours on her screen porch watching her favorite Cardinals, Carl & Carla & loving her support dog Abbye who passed away March 1, 2019.
She leaves to cherish her memory: husband Rayvon Bennett, son, Scotty Law (Jenny) daughter, Anna Law Paulette (Sean), Chris Bennett (Emily), Justin Bennett, . Matt Bennett (Sara) & Brandon Bennett (Lindsay), grandchildren: Ethan, Daniel, Morgan, Alex, Patrick, Lindsey, Ryan, Kaida, Hayden, Bryson & Savannah & great grandson Dalton, sister: Anna Rose Marino, Fatherin-law: Bill “Pop” Bennett.
