ELON — Carleen Elizabeth Ingle Atkins, 89, passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at White Oak Manor.
She was born in Guilford County to the late Jeter Boyd and Beulah Graber Cooke Ingle and was married for 57 years to Wesley Atkins.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Cheryl Ann (Al) Vogler of Graham and Renee Barber of Greensboro; son, Ray (Susie) Atkins of Elon; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Hawk of Browns Summit.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Caroline Perry; and brother, Clarence Ingle.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by her nephew, Pastor Wesley Price. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
