I John J Clapp of the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory but considering the uncertainly of my existence do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and for following that is to say -
First, that my executor hereinafter named shall provide for my body a decent burial sutible to the wishes of my relatives and friends – and pay all funeral expenses together with my Just debts – howsoever and to whomsoever owing out of the moneys that my first come into his hands as a part in parcel of my Estate – and also to place - descent Head Stone to my Grave –
Item Second
I give and desire to my beloved wife Angeline Clapp one Good bed and furniture one Bauro cald mine one set of Chairs and one Rocking chair one sowing Machiene one Safe one large fall leaf Table & one other Table one sugar care one Cow hir choice – one Horse hir Choice one Machinery & harness Also thirty five Bushels of wheat – and one hundred and sixty five Bushels of Corn and Also to her aney article of personal property that was made and Bought by hir Also I give to hir Six hundred dollar in cash - $600.00 as hirs absolutely –

I give and bequeath to my Grand daughter Emely Ernisteen Clapp fifty dollars in cash - $50.00 to be paid to hir by my Executor –
Item 4th
My will and desire is that all my personal property of every discription after takeing out My desires & legaceys above mentioned Shall be Sold and the debts owing to me collected if there Should be aney surplus of money over and above the payment of debts expenses and legacies that such surplus shall be paid over to my Daughter Loueser Jane Clapp and hir children – first pay to my daughter Loueser - one fourth of the surplus and the remainder to all hir Children share and share alike –
Item 5th
It is my will that my daughter Loueser Jane Clapp & family have the use and benefit of all my lands during hir life time and at hir death to be eaqualley devided among all hir children to wit – Ernesteen – Ellehu – Cleodorar – Leonodus – Tinsley & Mary and aney other heir she may have after this writing –
Item 6th
It is my will that aney money given to my daughter Loueser Jane – and also my real Estate be held in the hands of my Executor as Trustee for hir and hir children to be paid to them as they need it as lon as she lives and after hir death then equally devided among the Children as before mentioned and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my friend C A Boon - my lawful executor and Trustee to all intents and purposes to Execute this my last will and Testament according to the true intent and meaning of the same and every part and Clause thereof – surely revoking and declaring utterly void all other - wills and Testaments by me heretofore made – In witness whereof I the said John J Clapp do hereunto set my hand seal the 9th day of June 1882 –
