Obituary Online notes for Abner Yancey MILES Jr.
Abner Yancey Miles, 67, died at his home Tuesday following two years of declining health and a critical illness of one month.

He was a native of Caswell County [unverified], the son of Abner and Mrs. Sarah Smith Miles.

First married to Miss Sallie Walker, who died 13 years ago,
[then he married Nancy Della Garrison],
he later married Mrs. Margaret McPherson, who survives.

Funeral services will be conducted at Bethel Chapel, near Baynes Store, Thursday at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Frank Apple and Elder W. Curry King officiating.

Mr. Miles was a member of Bethel Christian Church, the Eastern Star and Baynes Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, six daughters, Misses Iola and Ester Miles, of Burlington, Mrs. W. B. Miles, of Yanceyville, R.F.D., Mrs. Roy Parks, Burlington, Mrs. A. D. Ridge, McLeansville, and Mrs. Ed Smith, Mebane; Four sons, W. C. and Charles Miles, Gibsonville, L. A. Miles, Altamahaw, and Weldon B. Miles, Yanceyville; Two brothers, J. B. Miles, Burlington, and F. S. Miles, Greensboro; one step-daughter, Mrs. Zelma Shoe Burlington, and one step-son, Devoy McPherson, Burlington."
