Obituary Online notes for Kenneth Lee McKINNEY
Kenneth Lee McKinney, 81, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Friday April 1, 2016 at his home after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday April 4, 2016 at Thompsonville Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Albert Ryle and Annie Belle Dawson McKinney and had lived in Rockingham County his entire life.

He was a former employee of Glen Raven Mills, and United Diaries and was a retired employee of Lowes Home Improvement in Reidsville. A longtime member of Thompsonville Baptist Church, he enjoyed fishing and loved all sports especially the UNC Tarheels and The New York Yankees.

Kenneth was preceded in death by a daughter: Joan “Joanie” McKinney, brother: Joseph A. “Joe” McKinney, a sister: Jacqueline Phillips, and twin great grandsons Sam and Ben Risk.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Louise Elliott McKinney of the home, son: Ken McKinney and wife Susan of Browns Summit, daughter: Cathy M. Jones and husband Tommy of Gibsonville, son-in-law: Mike McKinney of Gibsonville, and brother: Donald “Buddy” McKinney and wife Sandra of Kernersville, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
