Juanita  Dimont Haizlip 


    BURLINGTON — Juanita  Dimont Haizlip , age 88, formerly of the Home Place went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Liberty Commons. She was a native of Rockingham County and the daughter of the late Charlie Eddie and Ada Frances Brown Dimont.
    Juanita  was employed for many years with Glen Raven Mills and later she was employed with Apple House Cafeteria. She was the last living charter member of Ossipee Baptist Church and a member of the Tysinger Sunday School Class where she was the class treasurer for many years. Juanita  also taught the Elementary Sunday School class for many years at the church. She enjoyed sewing and growing flowers, everyone said she must have a green thumb because she could make anything grow. She was a Christian lady who loved serving God, her family and her church.
    Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Doris Smith and her husband, Rhonnie of Lynchburg, Virginia, Jan Williams of Lynchburg, Virginia, Cathy McKinney and her husband, Randy of Burlington; sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard Haizlip , Jr. and his wife, Jo Anne of Burlington, Elwood "Woody" Haizlip  and his wife, Suzanne of Bellevue, Washington; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; sister, Thelma Danieley of Burlington; special sister-in-law, Annie Haizlip  of Elon. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Annie Dimont; brothers, Russell, Robert, Richard and Sidney Dimont.
    The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Ossipee Baptist Church by Rev. Tim Marsh and the burial will follow at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home and other times at the home of Leonard Haizlip , Jr., 1826 Springhill Drive, Burlington, NC 27217.
    Memorials may be made to Ossipee Baptist Church, 2470 Old NC 87 North, Elon, NC 27244.
