Harry Lee Brown 


    GIBSONVILLE — Harry Lee Brown , 86, of 111 Sedalia Road, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 10, 2008, at Moses Cone Hospital.
    He was a native of Guilford County, and the son of the late David William and Esper Huffman Brown . He was the husband of Geraldine Bennett Bateman Brown  for 39 years.
    Harry  was the oldest member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He retired from the state as an employee of Eastern High School and he worked for Merico. He had a love for flowers and gardening and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
    He is survived by his wife, Geraldine B. Brown  of the home; daughter, Judy Holleman and husband, Vernon; son, H. Lee Brown  and his wife, Pam; stepdaughters, Lillie Schoolfield and husband, Don, Joan Crotacau; grandchildren, Tim Holleman and wife, Lisa, Wesley Holleman, Jerry Holleman, Mark Holleman and wife, Michelle, Shannon Brown , Hope Parks, Stacey Schoolfield; greatgrandchildren, Hayden, Tristan, Lizzie, Crystal, Madison, Gabrielle, Tralen.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Ruth Greeson, Liza Greeson, Eva Wyrick; and brother, William Brown .
    The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2008, at Emmanuel Baptist Church by the Rev. Delton Agnor, with a private family burial after the service.
    The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, and at other times at the home.
    Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, 268 Brightwood Church Road, Gibsonville, N.C. 27249.
