Mrs. Winifred Adamee Mitchell Garrison 


    BURLINGTON — Mrs. Winifred Adamee Mitchell Garrison  of 2812 Maple Ave., Unit C, died at 2:05 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2008, peacefully at her home.
    A native of Durham County, she was a member of Union Ridge Saddle Club, where she placed in many horse shows with her horse Margie. She and Margie were a wonderful team winning many trophies between the two. She was a member of Stoney Creek Presbyterian Church.
    Survivors include her sons, James C. "Jim" Mitchell  III and wife, Becky, of Haw River and David "Ronnie" Mitchell  and wife Debbi, of Bloomfield, New Mexico; six grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; four greatstepgrandchildren; and sisters, Violet Pamelo Adamee  Inge Manson and husband, Tom of Burlington and Kathleen Estelle Adamee  Sumner of Raleigh.
    She was preceded in death by her husbands, James C. Mitchell  Jr. and Melvin Garrison ; her parents, Jacob Henry Adamee  and Mary Elizabeth Morris Adamee ; and brothers, Jacob Henry Adamee  Jr. and Paul C. Adamee .
    The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2008, at the McClure Funeral Service Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Ken Hickey.
    Visitation will be held Friday one hour prior to the service at McClure Funeral Service in Graham, and at other times at the residence.
    Memorials may be made to the Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
