MEBANE — Mr. Wayne Sherrill Lambert, 75, of Mebane, died Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Hospice at the Meadowlands following a brief illness.
Mr. Lambert was born on March 31, 1937 in Stanly County, N.C., son of the late Richard Boone Lambert Sr. and Ruby Bowers Lambert.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired pipefitter.
Survivors are his wife, Linda Florence Lambert; sons, Randy Lambert and Brandon A. Mott; daughters, Sheila Marie Jones, PaulaTerrell, Louise Zolorzano, and Nina Baker Hernandez; brother, Richard Boone Lambert Jr.; nine grandchildren, four great- grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Paul L. Baker.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2012 at Walker’s Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, September 20, at Walker’s Funeral Home.
