Grace Wagoner Pike


    BURLINGTON — Grace Wagoner Pike, beloved wife of Charles S. Pike, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. Grace was born in Washington, N.C., on September 27, 1919, to the late Robert (R.E.) Wagoner and Blossie Smith Wagoner. Grace was a wonderful loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed life. She loved everyone she met and always had a ready smile and laugh for all. Grace and Charles lived in New York, North Carolina, Maryland and Texas, leaving her family and many good friends to cherish her beautiful memory.
    Survivors include her husband Charles; daughter, Penny Graham and her husband, Reggie, and their children Jenna, Richard, Carolyne and Raymond of Mechanicsville, Md.; a son, Chip Pike and his wife, Sue, of Houston, Texas; a sister, Patsy (George) Matkins of Burlington, N.C.; a brother, James (Buddy) Wagoner and his wife, Nancy, of Sneads Ferry, N.C.; and brother, Ronnie Wagoner and his wife, Barbara, of Burlington, N.C. Grace was preceded in death by her sisters, Maude Wagoner and Lessie (Jimmy) Faulkner.
    A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
